Climate Action Plan and Eco Council
A Climate Action Plan (CAP) sets our education setting up for a sustainable future — whether it’s through our buildings, outdoor spaces or curriculum. It’s centred around four pillars which help bring about a multitude of wellbeing, learning and environmental benefits for our learners and our community:
- Adaptation and resilience
- Biodiversity
- Climate education and green careers
- Decarbonisation
Our Eco Council have some fantastic ideas and will be helping to raise awareness of our action plan and embedd more sustainable practice into our whole school community. We hope you will join us on our journey.
Our Climate Action Plan is a working document and will be reviewed and updated on a half termly basis.

Help A Hedgehog
Hedgehogs usually hibernate between November to mid-March, but they can sometimes be seen out and about during this period changing nesting sites. It is unusual to see a hedgehog around during winter or in daylight, so if you do see one and it looks unwell, it might need a helping hand. You can find information on what to do on the Wildlife Trust website.
You can find also find out more about hedgehogs and how to attact them to your garden on the RSPCA website.
Remember - check your bonfire for hedgehogs and other animals before lighting.
